At Fosters the wellbeing and safety of our clients and staff is our top priority.
The latest strain of Covid 19, known as the Omicron variant, presents a new risk and we are adhering to the government guidelines.
It is likely that guidance may change and with that in mind we recommend visiting the link below to the Scottish Government website to ensure the information you have is up to date prior to attending a funeral.

Arranging a Funeral
Fosters have 26 funeral homes across Scotland and we’re here to support you and your family. Please make an appointment for a face-to-face meeting, and where possible we encourage you to use our virtual meeting service or our phoneline is available 24/7. Call 0800 121 8090 for immediate help and support.
Attending A Funeral Service
Crematoriums, places of worship and funeral service venues vary in size so please speak with your Funeral Arranger – or the family member responsible for the funeral – who will have been advised on how many people can attend a service and any restrictions that are in place.
Crematoriums and funeral service venues will ask mourners to follow the government guidance of wearing a face covering, sanitising hands, using track and trace, and adhering to social distancing.
Some funeral service venues offer livestreaming of the service, so if you are shielding or self-isolating it may be possible to pay respects from the comfort of your own home.
Protecting Others
Please continue to protect yourself and others by following the official government guidance and using a free lateral flow test prior to attending a Fosters Funeral Home or when attending a funeral.
Find out how to get a lateral flow test sent to your home, or where to access a PCR test via the links below.
