Fosters Funeral Directors have been working closely with our official charity partners, Alzheimer’s Scotland, to make sure that all our employees have been given Dementia Friends training.
This fantastic initiative aims to raise awareness of dementia and reduce any stigma that the term ‘dementia’ may bring. Given the nature of our work, we care for many families who have been touched by this terrible illness. We want to lead the way to make sure that we can help to educate our staff and make sure they have all the tools necessary to provide the best level of service and care for our communities.
According to Alzheimer’s Scotland, there are over 90,000 people living with dementia in Scotland. With this number is set to rise, it’s so important for our business to be able to provide the right support and gain the correct training. By having a greater understanding of dementia awareness, we can support our families in the best possible way.
