A National Day of Reflection
On Tuesday the 23rd of March, the charity Marie Curie has organised a series of short online talks and conversations to support those who are grieving a loved one.
Marking a year since the start of lockdown, the National Day of Reflection aims to support those who have suffered a bereavement in these challenging times, and to bring comfort and hope.
Some of the events taking place include:
11.30am – A Moment of Reflection. Readings and thoughts followed by a one minute silence at 12 noon.
12 noon – Grief School with Julia Samuel. A one hour session providing tools and practices for coping with grief.
6pm – Finding Hope and Meaning beyond Covid 19
7pm – When you walk through the storm – how songs can heal
8pm – Shine a light
To show support to others in your local community you can paint or draw a poster for your window, or download one from their website to print off and colour in.
