The funeral parlour on Portland Street was officially opened to the public with a grand ceremony on July 28, in which East Ayrshire Provost Jim Todd cut the ribbon after arriving in a traditional horse and carriage alongside founder Tony Foster.
Speaking on the day, Provost Todd praised Fosters for providing the community with a service that will help them honour their loved ones.
He said: “At East Ayrshire Council we have been looking over the last few years for affordable funerals with dignity.
“I think it’s great that Fosters have come to Kilmarnock.
Fosters Funeral Directors chief executive Ronnie Wayte said: “I’m delighted to be here today in Kilmarnock at what is our newest branch in Ayrshire.
“This branch allows us to bring the Fosters proposition of service, quality and affordability to as many people as possible, and it’s important to us that we continue to do that in Ayrshire.
“We’ve had a great reception from the people of Kilmarnock and we thank everyone for welcoming the Foster brand.”
Ronnie added: “The opening in Kilmarnock will also be followed quite shortly by an opening in Ayr and Irvine.
“I can assure you, our focus will be delivering the best we can for the community.”
