Re-Introduction of Family Limousine Service
After implementing a range of adaptations putting the safety of our families and colleagues first, we are delighted to announce the re-introduction of our limousine service.
Following the First Minister’s announcement that Scotland would move to phase two of lockdown measures we have fitted our limousines with protective Perspex screens and specialist air filtration devices ensuring a safety barrier is in place between the driver and families being transported to and from services.
The limousines are deep cleaned and carefully sterilised after each use and our drivers will also wear masks to provide additional peace of mind.
Nick McLaughlin, Managing Director, said: “We have been committed throughout this crisis to providing the highest level of care for families requiring our services as well as our staff.
“We hope the reintroduction of our limousine service with these additional safety measures will provide further peace of mind and reassurance for families at a difficult time.”
Here at Foster’s, we are committed to providing as much assistance as we can to grieving families throughout lockdown, including being one of the few funeral directors in Scotland still able to provide our families with the opportunity to view loved ones within a safe environment.
John Brown, Operations Manager, said: “We are proud to re-introduce the use of limousines to our funeral services. It will allow families to have a traditional funeral procession, and as places of worship begin to re-open, we will ensure that our clients can travel to and from the funeral in safety and comfort.
“Allowing families the opportunity to travel together and support each other is very important to help with the grieving process, so any additional comfort we can bring to those suffering a loss is greatly welcomed.”
John continues: “We will be adhering to Government guidelines, including drivers wearing the necessary PPE, deep cleans of the fleet after each use, no more than six members of the same household within a car, one pick up address and the necessary masks and hand sanitisers for passengers.”
