Stirling and Kilmarnock Parlours Raise Over £1,000 for Alzheimer Scotland at ‘Tea & Blether’ Coffee Mornings.
We are delighted to say that the recent ‘Tea & Blether’ coffee mornings, held in support of Alzheimer Scotland, have smashed the fundraising target and raised over £1,000!
The event, which took place during Dementia Awareness Week (27 May – 2 June) at Fosters’ premises in Kilmarnock and Stirling, welcomed local community members for an enjoyable morning of tea, coffee, delicious home baking, and friendly conversation (blether in Scottish!). Staff and local businesses generously donated a fantastic selection of raffle prizes, adding to the fun and fundraising success.
“We’d like to thank everyone who came along to our ‘Tea & Blether’ coffee morning,” said Angela Harrower, Funeral Arranger at Fosters Funeral Directors, Stirling. “The support from the community has been overwhelming, and we’re thrilled to have raised such a significant amount for Alzheimer Scotland.”
Carole Templeton, who helped organise the Kilmarnock fundraiser, added, “The funds will make a real difference in the lives of people living with dementia and their families.”

Alzheimer Scotland is a leading dementia charity working to improve the lives of people affected by dementia in Scotland. The charity provides vital support services, raises awareness, and funds research into dementia.
Fosters Funeral Directors works closely with Alzheimer Scotland, giving all our employees access to ‘Dementia Friends’ training. A Dementia Friend is somebody who learns about dementia so they can help their community by raising awareness and understanding so that people living with dementia can continue to live in the way they want.
